For those who watch Dragonball and/or know anything about Saiya-jins, you'll know many of them used to wear an apperatus known as a Scouter, which allowed them to take a read-out of a creature's 'powerlevel', or a scale of their overall strength in battle. They also doubled as a type of intergalatic communication device which could work over many lightyears.
There were essentially only 3 or four types of scouters. Some could read up to 22,000 degrees, other could read higher than 300,000 degrees. However after a certain point, scouters both become useless and almost non-existant, as powerlevels began skyrocketing.
Anyways, this picture depicts two of fourteen models of scouter that I created called the "Overclocked Scouter", which is a superior model of the older versions. Whereas older model scouters could be overloaded and destroyed by locking onto someone with too much of a powerlevel, the overclocked variety manages to overcome that problem. Although each Overclocked scouter has its' limits of what it will read from someone, it will simply read the highest number it possibly can, adding a ">" symbol, as opposed to exploding.
Additionally, an "Overclocked" model can read a little more of a powerlevel than a normal scouter of the same type. For example, a normal Green Scouter normally only reads to 22,000 before it overloads, but an Overclocked Green Scouter will read up to 24,200, and will merely say something along the lines of "24,200>" instead of exploding. Overclocked Scouters are distinguishable from normal scouters by the symbol on their sides, and the fact there are stripes adorning the earpiece that are identical in color to the lens color.
These scouters are being shown because I believe they might serve for good use in someone's DBZ-based universes, or fanfictions. In fact, I created the idea of these scouters from my story "The Misfits", and they will soon begin to be put to good use.
Although I have not yet thought intensely on the origins of the first Overclocked Scouters, I have established the Green and Pink models were only beginning to be developed when Goku became a Super Saiya-jin and defeated Frieza on the planet Namek. However I do not personally believe Scouters were exclusive to Saiya-jin or Frieza's Planet Trade, and therefore they still existed, and upgraded more over time, just they never made it into the lives of the Z-warriors or any of Frieza or King Cold's armies before they were destroyed.
The models above are: White, Clear [both with black displays] (from oldest to newest). These two models are newer than the Light-Silver scouter in the Series 3 picture, and the Clear scouter is currently the best possible model in creation. As you might notice, the pictures are based off a normal picture of a scouter I modified in Paint Shop Pro to give them a more established appearance.
If you can't understand the numbers in each lens(since they're backwards):
Additionally, it is interesting to note that Clear Overclocked Scouters[also the most advanced of all fourteen types], have see through stripes on the earpiece, allowing someone to essentially see the wiring inside. >.> <.<
Heh, cool. Um, I'm sure this is a big stretch, but would it be possible for you to make a picture of someone like, say... one of my story's characters. >.>
It wouldn't have to be like right this week. I'd have to think of who it'd be or what the situation would be, or if it'll be like the pics you're making for the The #18th bios. <.<

Yeah, it would be easiest to do the pic like the 18th bios. Your choice though.
